6 weeks and counting
This morning, Liliana and I drove my mother-in-law to the airport. It was bittersweet. We were sad to see Sue go, but we are happy that it’s only 6 weeks until we see her again.
It’s not as hard to say goodbye when it’s more like “See you soon!”
Did you notice the green bruise on Liliana’s forehead? That’s from when we picked up my sister-in-law. She was so excited to see Laura-Mae that Liliana tripped over her own feet, tripped over her hands, and went face first into the airport floor.
Pictures always turn out better when there’s a bruise on your baby’s forehead.
A couple days before the weekend, I received my Color Me Happy Swaparooni swap gift from Citystreams. Heather over at Oh My Stinkin’ Heck puts on a CMHS swap every month or two.
I’ve participated in the last two and have been really happy with them. They’ve been a lot of fun!

When Sue came up, she brought with her birthday presents for me. One of them was an awesome cake book.
Since I have dinner with a schwak load of kids once a week, I decided to make a kid-themed cake.
The book had lots of those, and I chose this ladybug cake.
Since I live in a small town, I had to swap out some of the decorating ingredients because I could not find them. But? She still turned out terrific.
In my humble opinion.
Close enough, right?
Side note: Noah and I are watching Jaws. I will never again swim in the ocean.
Let’s make cakes together before you go!! My friend is taking a cake decorating course in PG, and I love to back and decorate but have no one in town. Plus birthday season starts on the 30th for me!
