7 Days :: {summer 2011} :: Days 4-5
7 days :: 4 {nice guys finish last}
I went for my first run in about a year today. I was in quite the foul mood this evening and I thought a run would knock the funk out of me, but it did not. Hopefully a couple hours of Jack Bauer will do the trick.
7 days :: 5 {white respite}
Short version: This is a reflection of me in my friend Chris’s sunglasses.
Long version: I had a horrid night last night. I’ve been having these weird back/chest pain attacks that I’m told are caused by GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It doesn’t make much sense to me because really it feels like there’s a vice grip just below my chest on my front and in the same place on my back that just gets tighter and tighter. It starts at my back and radiates to my front. It’s so painful it sometimes causes me to vomit. Anyway, so that lasted a couple hours after I went to bed at 10pm. Preston, who never wakes up before 2am, woke up at 11:30pm wanting to eat. Weird. And painful to feed him while the attack was going on. So, I got very little sleep, as he woke again at about 4:30am. I really don’t mind getting up in the night with a baby, at all. I like the time with just the two of us. But, with the GERD attack at the same time, it was near torturous.
Anyway, so today two of my friends wanted to hang out and we went to the spray park down the street. But, upon arrival we discovered that the spray park was closed because of water restrictions due to … something. So, we came back to my place and the kids ran in the sprinkler. It was such wonderful respite from the foul mood I’ve been in for the last couple days due to lack of sleep or just general grumpiness. Also, it was great for my WHITE (see what I did there?) skin that has not seen sun in much too long.

You sure it’s not a gallbladder attack?? I had almost the same symptoms and that’s what it was for me..WORSE.PAIN.EVER…hope you start to feel better
oh man, that pain sounds torturous! so, can they give you anything for it? and, while youre breastfeeding…. no fun.
my skin is soo white, too! hopefully that will change when we get to summerland :)
I too am pale and white, unfortunately I don’t tan, I tomato. Hope the pain goes away and the funk along with it!
Whenever it’s sunny, I have to hide my WHITE legs. It’s so embarrassing.
I am WHITER THAN WHITE. But summer is finally here…
(LOVING the reflection shot!)
