A little disappointed

So I didn’t get the call last night. I guess the OB on call (not mine) was on last night and was not into having a possible patient. My OB said to call this morning at 7:00 so I did and they told me to call back in half an our - which is in 15 minutes. I am thankful that I haven’t had to endure false labor or anything, but this waiting is almost enough to drive someone into a mental institution.

Update: Called back, now I am waiting for them to call me again. Two days ago while I was waiting for a call back, the same telemarketer called 5 times to tell me I won a cruise. Last night, they called again while I was waiting. (We have call display and do not pick it up if it says “Florida” - anymore.) If they call today, book me a spot in that institution, because waiting by the phone is definately enough to drive me mental.

Update again: I finally got the call back (8:30) and I have to call there at 4:30 to get “gelled”.

Tough waiting, but baby Wilson is certainly worth waiting for! All the best!

I’m off to Ottawa to pick up David. Not looking forward to spending 5.5 hrs in a car on a beautiful sunny day. At least we’re not coming back same day. Eleven hours is real tough.

    Will be thinking of you.

Well Jen, best wishes for a smooth and quick delivery. Don’t know if I’m remembering right, but, I think the one who gave birth to you and your siblings had to wait an extra long time too. Other old phrases I won’t use since I’m sure you’ve heard them all…….well now just in case……..”baby will come when baby is ready” “You know your due date is just a guideline” “every woman is different you know” “Well I carried MINE for TEN months” (I thought that first month was just wishful thinking) “Be glad you’re not an elephant…They carry their young for two YEARS!!” “Are you sure you got your dates right?” “Does your Dr. know how much you’re overdue”…………tired of them yet? I’m sure the list will go on and on but regardless Jen….hang in there!
