almost
This boy. This boy with that look in his eye.
He is almost crawling. He is thisclose.
He starts out sitting, launches himself forward to his hands and knees, and then flops onto his tummy.
He’ll get back up on all fours, rock back and forth, and then flop to his tummy again. He’ll go around in circles, he’ll go backward, but it frustrates him immensely that he cannot go forward yet. Soon, kid. Soon. But take your time. That look in your eye? It frightens me.
In other news, Noah bought Preston his first toy on Sunday. I mean, he has toys, but this was the first one that we bought him. Specifically, this was the first one, the first boy toy that we — or, Noah — bought him. Noah was quite stoked about this. I was supposed to do the grocery shopping this weekend as a one-on-one date with Liliana, but with all the, um, sickness, I passed it off to Noah who decided to make it a one-on-one date with Preston. And they just happened to go by the toys and saw a truck that Preston wanted.
Boys.
I was texting with Teresa this morning when I said something about Preston being not so much for the sleeping at night. I mean, he sleeps all night, but he wakes up every 1.5-3 hours to eat. With everything that’s been going on lately, and with him teething, I’ve just been going with it, because it’s so much easier than fighting it. Teresa mentioned something about a teething necklace and that she thinks it helped Tucker sleep better and I was like, TELL ME MORE. Needless to say, I bought him one today and IT IS MAGIC. And it looks quite cute, too. Thanks, T! This whole having-babies-the-same-age thing is quite rad.
I always start Preston out in the middle of the tub and he always scooches his way down to the little reflective bit. This kid is on the move. He no longer stays where I put him. And he’s almost crawling.
Someone tell him to slow down, please. I’m not ready.

He is SO flippin cute. Love all the pics. And, hooray for teething necklaces!!
