and then

Yesterday I did not leave the house once. I spend the entire day feeding and snuggling a sweet (albeit cranky) baby. Today was a tad different.

Drive Kaylie to school
Sign Kaylie up for gymnastics
Drop Noah’s phone off with him
Go back home
Try twice to print forms I need
Fail twice
Feed Preston

Drop younger kids with inlaws
Go to meeting
Pick up younger kids
Drop Noah back off at work
Get gas
Pick Kaylie up from school
Feed Preston
Get a couple groceries
Pick up Noah
Get McD’s drive-thru
Go home for 1/2 hour
Feed Preston
Pick up Kaylie’s friend
Drop Noah, Kaylie, and K’s friend at the church for kids’ club
Sign Liliana up for ballet
HAVE LILIANA YELL AND SCREAM AT ME BECAUSE I WON’T LET HER RUN INTO THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE MILE-LONG BALLET SIGN-UP LINE AND WHY CAN’T SHE DANCE AND WHY ARE WE JUST SIGNING HER UP BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO DANCE NOW AND WHY WON’T I LET HER PLAY WITH HER FRIEND BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO RUN AND DANCE AND RUN INTO PEOPLE AND I WON’T LET HER DO ANYTHING AND ALL THIS WHILE THE LADY WITH NO TEETH IS TRYING TO TELL ME ABOUT HER TWO-WEEK VACATION SHE IS ABOUT TO GO ON UP NORTH IN AN FOUR-SEATER AIRPLANE AND DID I KNOW THAT HER DAUGHTER HAS NEVER BEEN ON AN AIRPLANE BEFORE AND THAT HER DAUGHTER WAS GOING TO MISS THE FIRST BALLET CLASS AND LILIANA IS STILL SCREAMING AND YELLING AND ALL WITH THE SCREAMING AND YELLING MAKE IT STOP!

9:15pm all the kids go to bed
11:00pm my brain finally starts to unwind from the day

Fall, you hit hard and fast, don’t you?

  1. That will be next week. Well, without a baby to feed. :) Hang in there!

  2. Oy, crazy day!

  3. Isn’t it amazing how fast it it hits once school starts? The beginning and end of the school years are like a crazy frantic race to attend it all.

Good luck :) I have been pretty close to where you are (mine are 4-5 years apart) and it does get a little better eventually :)

  4. Now THAT just totally stressed me out! When I start to whine and complain that I NEED another toddler around, I will re-read this. Love you and those cute adorable nuggets!

  5. WOW!!
