Children of Jen Squared
Yesterday, I went on a Jen play date. About two-thirds of my friends here are named Jen - I think it’s rather funny.
We went to the Rick Hansen Park - the greatest park ever invented (at least in Regina). The ground is rubberized. I guess it’s also a special needs park, and while none of our kids have special needs, the park is AMAZING.
One of Abby, Josie, and Liliana’s favorites was the giant swing. I guess it’s big so that it can accommodate older special needs children, but our little ones liked it and looked so tiny in it.
Liliana is so great with sharing and totally didn’t freak out when Abby and Josie wanted a turn on the swing. Pffffttt.
I really appreciated the rubber ground when Liliana walked right into the swing while Abby was swinging. She was bumped and totally did a face plant, but was not hurt at all because the ground was soft. Had it been cement, she’d totally have road rash.
I totally love how accessible the equipment was for little people.
Liliana kept running up and down the bridges and did not want to get down. There’s a strong personality in that one. I have no idea where she gets it from.
Sweet Josie.
I hope that Liliana and Josie become good friends. Right now, Liliana is kind of a bully. To everyone. We’re working on her.
Abby is seriously the cutest 3-almost-4-year-old I’ve ever seen.
Liliana thought it was the greatest thing ever that she was running around so high up. She scared me a couple times going so close to the edge. She’s a little dare devil, but she’s cautious at the same time. She’ll go to the edge, but she won’t walk off.
She will, though, climb up on the railing. Watching her do that made me realize that she’s growing up so fast. She’s not a little baby anymore, she’s a toddler growing into a rambunctious little girl.
Kaylie was in school during our play date and I didn’t inform her that one went on. She is always devastated when she asks what we did that day and I tell her we had a play date. She always feels as though she’s missing out, even though she loves being at school. She’s got a lot of Fridays off in the coming weeks, so I’m sure we can work something out.

Noah has often made fun of me for my online friends. But, I’ve come to admire and respect some of the women I’ve met through the blogosphere. I read this post written by Heather at Oh My Stinkin’ Heck! today. She is definitely one of my favorite people I’ve never met. She says things that should be said. Honest truth. Love it.

We had a great time at the park! Thanks for taking nice pictures and saying sweet things about my girls. We look forward to a playdate with Kaylie sometime. :)
