falling up

fall

It’s fall here. It came quickly. I mean, the leaves have been turning for at least a month and they’ve been falling slowly for about that long as well, but this past week they have changed and fallen at record pace. Noah raked the yard on Saturday, and by Sunday afternoon it was flooded with leaves again. It’s like snow in winter, but more colorful.

Preston sits

Mr. Preston has developed a new skill. He now sits up. I’d like someone to remind him that he’s my baby – my last baby – and I need him to be baby-ish for a little bit longer. He provides great entertainment when he tips over, though, my goodness it’s hilarious. Baby tipping is much more fun than cow tipping. Easier, too, because babies weigh much less than cows, even if my baby is larger than the average baby.

I took a bunch of photos of the girls jumping into the huge leaf pile leaves pile pile of leaves, but they’re all blurry because apparently I don’t know how to use a camera. I’m still going to post them, though, just not tonight. I’m much too lazy to edit more than three photos, not that there’s much editing going on, since my Photoshop (Elements) computer is not working and all I’m left with is Picnik. I tried to tell Noah that since full Photoshop is 30% off today, he should let me spend $489 on it, but then he counteracted that with the fact that my nine-year-old TV is crapping out on us and we’d get much more enjoyment out of a new TV than Photoshop. Little does he know I’m still not caving on the new TV. So what if our only TV is old and goes white for a couple seconds every once in a while and doesn’t show the entire score of the football game? I could totally live without a TV (because I can watch shows on the laptop).

(Oh wait. I think I have those Elements discs around here somewhere. Scratch that full Photoshop order.) (But we still don’t need a new TV.)

in the leaves

Dude tried to eat the leaves, which was utterly hilarious because everything he does for the first time is highly entertaining. Who says third baby firsts aren’t as exciting as first baby firsts?
