Kid dedications

What a wonderful way to spend Mother’s Day! Yesterday we did a mass child/baby dedication at my church. Usually it’s just babies that get dedicated, but when I had Kaylie I wasn’t exactly in the right place to make a commitment like that and I take it quite seriously, so I waited. Kaylie and Liliana both got dedicated yesterday along with two other babies - Ethan and Billy. Billy’s mom was due the day after me, and he was born the day before Liliana. During Billy’s dedication, Liliana was farting quite loudly and Ethan’s big brother was flashing the congregation.

Even though I didn’t get breakfast in bed, my Mother’s Day was wonderful. Noah has Sundays off again (which I LOVE) so it makes the day even better. Add to that 3 meals that I didn’t have to cook and it makes the best day ever.

I remembered another Kaylie-ism:

Kaylie: “What are all these holes in the ground for?”
Me: “I have no idea, maybe air out the grass.”
Kaylie: “These little things aren’t poop - they’re not! They’re just dirt from in the holes so they’re not gross.”
