My 300th post - my baby girl is 6!
She’s had her birthday party, she’s had her birthday dinner, now finally it’s her birthday!
I found out I was pregnant with Kaylie about 3 months into Grade 12. I was 17. Way to go me. When I found out I wasn’t due until after I was scheduled to graduate, I knew everything would be okay.

Just short of a month after I graduated (which I did, with honours - what else are you going to do, but study, when you can’t party anymore?), at 2:55 pm, after 58.5 hours of labour and a pair of forceps, Kaylie Braam entered the world 7 days late weighing 7 lbs, 13 oz and measuring 19.3 inches long. She did not yet have a middle name (because we were convinced she was a boy and therefore didn’t need one), and she was not yet a Wilson (as neither of us had met Noah yet). If she had been a boy, her name would have been Aiden Conrad. I’m not sure I like those names anymore, but back then, they were the greatest. She finally got her middle name at 3 days old. My mom and I both have the same middle name so I thought it would be neat to pass on the tradition. Thus, Jaqueline it was - without the “c” because apparently dutch people don’t know how to spell.
She’s always up for a party.
And loved her bottle.
For her first birthday, I let her demolish her cake herself.
Two years old.
At 3, she did a little bit of modeling (just for fun) for a friend of a friend of mine.

She’s tied with her sister as the cutest little girl I know.

Random Kaylie Facts:
- She loves to be around people and is the most outgoing person I know.
- When she hears a bag crinkling (whether it’s Werther’s or baby whipes), she comes running yelling, “Can I have some?”
- She loves to play board games.
- She loves to hold and play with her little sister.
- Her favorite color is green.
- She likes to play with dinosaurs and Polly Pockets.
- She loves school. She loves it so much that on our school shopping trip earlier today she wanted to find a shirt that said, “I love my teacher”.
- She loves baths.
- She loves wrestling with Noah - her favorite move is the elbow drop.
- She loves to be outside.
- Her Grannie is her favorite person in the whole world.
I love her so much it hurts. I feel blessed for being given the privilage of raising her - seeing her grow into the person God wants her to be. I pray that she has lives a godly, fruitful, love-filled, long life.
I love you kid!
