NaBloPoMo Day 14: To BlogHer or not to BlogHer

Our house is unusually quiet tonight. Kaylie is at her first sleepover since our move to the prairies. It’s kind of weird not having her here. My day was kind of off kilter when she didn’t come home after school, and when I only had to put one child to bed. I’m so glad that she has the opportunity for a sleepover, but I miss her.

Onwards, what the deuce is BlogHer? Well, it’s like a big party where all the attendees are bloggers and you get to learn how to be a better blogger. Sound like fun? WELL IT DOES TO ME! It’s like going to a party where you get to meet all the cool kids. (They’re also the people that give me money for having those ads you see to the right. You gotta pay hosting fees somehow!)

I only have a couple things that are holding me back.
1. Money. Apparently you need it if you want to go. I also have to justify spending money on something like BlogHer instead of something like student loans.
2. Lack of a roommate. Sharing hotel fare is way more economical! Not to mention funner.
3. I’m not a big-name blogger. ‘Nuff said.
4. Is it worth it?

HeatherB just wrote a post on it, and it made me think. I’d LOVE to go. I really WANT to go.

I’ve started a new venture that’s started to take off, and if it really takes off, then maybe it’ll pay for a trip to BlogHer. I hope. Otherwise, if one of you feels like spotting me the dough to go, I’d love you forever.

    I’d love to go. I think it would be so much fun to meet people I read on the Internet, and hang out with some cool ladies.
    Oh, and learn to be a better blogger.
    …BUT! There’s the money issue as well :(

    Mrs. W, if you need a roommate, you let me know. I go every year and I always need a roommate, too.

    You definitely should go. Have you been before? It’s so much fun. And definitely worth the money. Trust me.
