NaBloPoMo Day 18: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger?

I’m busy, busy, dreadfully busy
You’ve no idea what I have to do.
Busy, busy, shockingly busy
Much, much too busy for you.

Okay, not too busy for you, just a little crazy. In point form:

1. I’ve learned (the hard way) that it’s best to shower, eat breakfast, and get dressed before the babies get here in the morning.  (My first one comes at 7:45.)  If I wait until after they arrive, all I get is a quick face wash, two bites of toast, and I don’t brush my teeth until after I’ve fed the kids lunch and they’re taking their nap.  Ew.

2. I’m doing some web design stuff for my father-in-law.  What’s that?  You didn’t know I was a web designer?  Well, that’s because I’m not.  But, I do know my way around some HTML, and I have a couple Dummies books by my side.  I’m actually having a lot of fun with it, but it’s a lot of work.  Phew.

3. Between classes, work, homework, midterm exams, and ginormous papers/projects, I don’t see Noah a whole lot.  This single-parenting business is hard. I know it’s got to be hard on him too, but this isn’t his blog.  (Although I heard a rumor that he’s going to guest post in the near future.  Right Noah?  Right?)

4. I’m having a hard time remembering what friends are.  I miss them.  The babies keep me hopping all day long, and then there’s the whole dinnerbathsbedtime thing, and then there’s the mad clean before Noah gets home, and then NOAH’S HOME (YAY!), and then I go to bed.  That’s five out of 7 days.  On the weekends I hardly want to leave the house because (a) it’s a disaster and needs some TLC, and (b) NOAH’S HOME!  YAY!  But, this Friday night is girl’s night.  YIPEEE!

5. You’ve probably noticed the lack of pictures lately.  That would be because I haven’t taken any lately.  (Duh.)  It makes me quite sad.  But, there will be a plethora of them very very soon.  I’ll divulge that later.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re a champ.  12 days left of this NaBlowShoe thing.  And counting.

    Love this post.
I’m still struggling with #1, with my own two kids. There are days I don’t get my shower until Justin gets home!
