the makings of a perfect Friday night

First of all, thank you for all the kind comments on my post yesterday. I really appreciate every word of them. I didn’t have a single nightmare last night, so thank you so much for the prayers.

Liliana and I got home from daycare and work today to find that Noah and Kaylie had spent the day cleaning and playing video games. Kaylie had the day off school, an apparently good one. I’m glad that she and Noah have video games in common, because I get bored of them after only minutes. They even passed Donkey Kong Country for Super Nintendo. (We have way too many video game systems.)

I got into my sweats as soon as I walked in the door and was stoked at the thought of not leaving them or the house for the next 40 hours. After the kids were in bed, Noah took off and picked up slurpees and five-cent candies.

Added to a couple episodes of Home Improvement, they’re the ingredients for a perfect Friday night. Especially when it ends in being in bed by 10. My goodness I’m a party animal.

Weekends are just the bestest. Agreed?

  1. They are, they really are.
Especially since now, they mean no work for me.

Glad you had no nightmares. Enjoy your night!

  2. Sooo jealous can’t remember the last time I had a slurpee and five cent candies…..probably before I had kids….we should do a movie or tv night with some of that….mmmm maybe in spring I don’t do cold drinks in winter.
